About This Story

Tonight's story is called The Dragonfly's Friendship Bridge. When a little dragonfly named Zuri arrives at River Crossing, she watches all the other creatures playing together on the far bank and feels completely left out, with no way to cross the wide water between them. At first Zuri tries to fly across alone, again and again, but the wind and the distance are simply too much for her small wings. It's only when she stops trying to do it by herself and asks for help that something beautiful begins — together with new friends, she helps weave a bridge of reeds and glowing dew that reaches all the way across the river. By the end, Zuri learns that Allah اللّٰه never meant for us to feel alone, and that friendship grows fastest when we reach out instead of waiting to be noticed.
