Salaam Sleep respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, and the choices and rights you have when using Salaam Sleep.

Salaam Sleep is designed for parents and families. Parent or guardian account holders are responsible for managing the service and any information relating to children within their account.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Salaam Sleep, we may collect the following information:

Account Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as:

• Your name
• Email address
• Account identifier
• Login and authentication information
• Account settings and preferences
• Subscription status
• Free-trial status

Authentication may be provided through services such as email login, Google or Apple.

Child Profile Information

Salaam Sleep may allow a parent or guardian to create child profiles or avatars.

Depending on the features you use, this may include limited information supplied by the parent for the purpose of providing the service.

We encourage parents not to provide unnecessary personal information about their children.

Story Activity

To operate features such as story progress, streaks, rewards and recommendations, we may process information including:

• Stories played
• Story progress
• Completion status
• Bedtime streak information
• Rewards or gifts earned
• Story preferences and activity

Parent Bedtime Voice Recordings

Salaam Sleep may allow a parent or guardian to record a personal bedtime message that can be played as part of the bedtime experience.

A recording may contain the parent's voice and information voluntarily spoken by the parent, which could include a child's name.

We therefore treat these recordings as private user content.

Parent recordings should only be stored and processed for the purpose of providing the bedtime-message feature.

Where recordings are stored using our cloud infrastructure, appropriate access controls should be used so that recordings are not made publicly available.

Parents can replace or delete their recording through the available controls.

When a recording is permanently deleted, we aim to remove the associated recording and stored file in accordance with our deletion and backup procedures.

Please do not include sensitive or unnecessary personal information in a recording.

Subscription and Payment Information

Payments and subscriptions may be processed using Stripe.

Salaam Sleep may receive information relating to your subscription, such as:

• Subscription status
• Customer or subscription identifiers
• Billing period
• Renewal status
• Payment success or failure
• Cancellation status

We do not need to store your full payment card details ourselves when payment information is handled directly by our payment provider.

Technical Information

When you use Salaam Sleep, certain technical information may be processed, including:

• Device or browser information
• Session information
• App activity
• Error information
• Technical identifiers
• IP address where provided by our infrastructure or service providers

This information may be necessary to operate, secure and improve the service.
