About This Story

Tonight's story is called Fatimah and the Moonlit Bridge. When Fatimah moves to a new home by the river, she watches the children on the other side play together every evening, feeling too shy and too lonely to cross the old stone bridge that joins the two halves of the village. When she finally does cross, carrying a strange little lantern that refuses to glow alone, she learns that friendship isn't something you wait for — it's something you offer first, with loyalty and kindness, even to someone you've only just met. By the end, Fatimah discovers that the bridge was never the hard part. Her own heart was.
