About This Story

Tonight's story is called Ruqqayyah and the Lantern of Kindness. When Ruqqayyah visits the magical Lantern Grove for the very first time, she notices that every other child's lantern glows softly gold — except her own, which stays grey and dark. She tries everything she can think of to make it shine, but nothing works, until she learns that kindness only glows when it comes from the heart, not when it's done to be seen. By the end, Ruqqayyah discovers that the smallest act of care, given quietly and for the sake of الله (Allah) alone, can light up the whole grove — and her own heart along with it.
