About This Story

Tonight's story is called Ruqqayyah and the Little Tea House. When Ruqqayyah is asked to look after her grandmother's tiny tea house in Blossom Village all on her own, she feels nervous and unsure — what if she says the wrong thing, or the tea isn't good enough, or no one wants to stay? But when a tired stranger wanders in as evening falls, Ruqqayyah learns that a warm smile, a kind word of سَلَام (salam) — peace — and a full cup of tea poured with love are worth more than anything fancy. By the end, Ruqqayyah discovers that being a good host isn't about having the perfect words — it's about opening your heart, the way Allah اللَّه loves for us to open our doors to one another.
