About This Story

Tonight's story is called The Eagle Learns Humility. Zumar is the proudest, strongest flyer on the Golden Cliffs, and he never lets the other birds forget it. When a sudden storm knocks him from the sky and strips him of the very feather he was proudest of, Zumar discovers that he cannot fly home alone — he needs the help of the small, quiet birds he used to look down on. Slowly, he learns that his strength was never truly his own; it was a gift from Allah اللّٰه all along. By the end, Zumar folds his great wings not in defeat, but in gratitude, learning that the tallest cliffs bow their heads to no one but the One who raised them.
