About This Story

Tonight's story is called Omar and the Cloud of Mercy. When five-year-old Omar's little cousin ruins something he loves, a strange grey cloud appears above his head — and it only grows heavier the longer he stays angry. As Omar wanders through Mercy Meadows trying to outrun his own feelings, he learns that anger is heavy to carry, but forgiveness is light. By the end, Omar discovers that mercy isn't just something we hope for from Allah اللّٰه — it's something we can give to others, too, and that giving it is what finally lets him rest.
