About This Story
Tonight's story is called The Lobster of Mercy Cove. Tonight we meet a little lobster with a very good heart — but tonight, that heart is hot with anger. When a clumsy crab bumps into him and cracks one of his favorite little shells, the little lobster clenches his claws and scuttles off in a huff, ready to stay angry all night long. But as he hides beneath the rocks of Mercy Cove, he discovers a glowing pearl, and the wise old sea turtle who watches over it teaches him something gentle and true: that Allah اللّٰه loves those who forgive, and that letting go of anger is not weakness — it is the softest, strongest kind of courage. By the end, the little lobster learns to open his claws instead of clenching them, and Mercy Cove glows a little brighter because of it.
