About This Story

Tonight's story is called Ayaan and the Moon Lantern. When five-year-old Ayaan sets off on his very first night walk through Moon Lantern Valley, he carries a small brass lantern that has always burned bright — until tonight, when it starts to flicker and dim with every worried thought he has. As the path grows darker and less familiar, Ayaan learns that his lantern doesn't need him to fix everything himself; it only needs him to trust Allah اللّٰه with what he cannot control. By the end, walking beside his father under a valley full of stars, Ayaan discovers that tawakkul — trusting Allah اللّٰه completely — is what makes even the darkest path feel safe.
