About This Story

Tonight's story is called **A Lantern Before Sleep**. When six-year-old Ali receives a small clay lantern made by his grandfather, who lives far away across the hills, he doesn't understand at first why a lantern could ever make missing someone feel better. Every night on Dreamlight Hill, Ali grows restless, staring at the empty road, wishing his Jiddo were near. Slowly, with his parents' gentle guidance, Ali learns that lighting the lantern each night with a whispered dua is its own kind of closeness — that distance can never separate two hearts held together by اللّٰه. By the end, Ali falls asleep peacefully, no longer restless, knowing that love travels further than any road, and that a small flame and a quiet prayer can reach all the way to Jiddo's window.
