About This Story

Tonight's story is called The Camel of Tawakkul. When a young camel named Anas sets off on his very first journey across the Golden Dunes, he worries that he doesn't know the way and won't be brave enough for the desert ahead. When a sudden sandstorm separates him from his father, Anas learns from a wise elder camel that being brave doesn't mean knowing everything — it means doing his very best and then trusting the rest to اللّٰه. By the end, Anas discovers that even in the middle of endless golden sand, far from anyone he knows, he is never truly alone.

The Dua

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or being led astray, from slipping or being made to slip, from oppressing or being oppressed, and from behaving foolishly or being treated foolishly.
