About This Story

Tonight's story is called The Zebra's Missing Stripe. When a little zebra foal named Zaki notices that one of his stripes is shorter and paler than all his others, he begins to feel like something is wrong with him — like he doesn't quite belong among the other zebras of the Rainbow Grasslands. He tries to hide his little stripe, and even runs from the games he loves. But a gentle old zebra named Grandmother Amara helps him see his stripe — and himself — through new eyes: the eyes of someone made carefully and lovingly by اللّٰه. By the end, Zaki learns that he was never meant to look exactly like anyone else, and that the very thing he tried to hide becomes the thing he's proudest of.
