About This Story

Tonight's story is called Riyaadh and the Lantern of Tawakkul. When four-year-old Riyaadh stays out a little too long in Lantern Valley and the sun begins to set before he can find his way home, he feels the twist of worry in his tummy. An old lantern-keeper gives him a small brass lantern — but it only glows for those who trust. Through the valley's winding paths and gentle surprises, Riyaadh learns that trying his best and then trusting Allah with the rest is what brings the light. By the end, Riyaadh walks home not because he knew the way all along, but because he learned to let go and trust — and the lantern in his hand glows warm and steady all the way to his door.
