About This Story

Tonight's story is called Idris and the Silver Compass. When six-year-old Idris finds a strange silver compass tangled in the roots of an old tree, he discovers it doesn't point north at all — it only points toward whatever is true. At first that seems like a wonderful game, but when Idris tells a small lie to avoid getting in trouble, the compass spins wildly and refuses to guide him anywhere. Lost deeper in Compass Forest than he's ever been, Idris learns that honesty isn't just about being good — it's what actually leads him safely home. By the end, with the compass steady and calm in his palm, Idris understands that Allah اللّٰه always knows the truth, even the parts we try to hide, and that speaking honestly is the surest path back to peace.
