About This Story

Tonight's story is called Yusuf and the Silver Kite. Yusuf is a five-year-old boy who has waited all week for the wind to be just right so he can finally fly the beautiful silver kite his grandfather made him — but when the moment comes, the wind feels bigger and wilder than he expected, and his excitement turns to fear at the top of the meadow. As the kite tugs and dips and the hill feels higher than ever, Yusuf has to decide whether to run home or take one brave step forward. By the end, with a little courage, a steadying dua, and his grandfather's gentle hand nearby, Yusuf learns that Allah اللّٰه gives us courage not by taking the fear away, but by walking beside us through it.
