About This Story

Tonight's story is called The Sloth Who Remembered Allah اللّٰه. Deep in the tall trees of the Canopy Forest lives a little sloth who moves slower than anyone else in the forest — but whose mind moves even slower still, drifting from thought to thought, forgetting things the moment they happen. When a wise old owl gives him a small string of dhikr beads, the little sloth learns that no matter how distracted his day becomes, he can always pause, breathe, and say Alhamdulillah اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰه or SubhanAllah سُبْحَانَ اللّٰه — even for just a moment. By the end, the little sloth discovers that remembering Allah اللّٰه doesn't need to be loud or long. It can be as soft and slow as he is, and it can happen anywhere, anytime, in his own gentle way.
