About This Story

Tonight's story is called "The Manta Ray's Welcome Feast." When word spreads through the Sapphire Lagoon that a tired group of traveling sea friends is on its way, young Marjan the Manta Ray is asked to help welcome them — and she is sure she will get it all wrong. As she worries over perfect feasts and perfect words, she learns from her wise grandmother, Nana Amira the old sea turtle, that hospitality was never about being perfect at all. It was about opening your fins and your heart the way the Prophet ﷺ taught, and trusting Allah اللّٰه to fill in the rest. By the end, Marjan glows brighter than the Welcome Shell itself, discovering that the warmest feast in the sea is made of kindness, not perfection.
