About This Story

Tonight's story is called Sumayyah and the Hidden Garden. When six-year-old Sumayyah goes to stay with her grandmother for the weekend, all she can think about is everything she left behind — her toys, her friends, her own soft bed. But behind her grandmother's house, hidden past an ivy-covered gate, is a secret garden that only wakes up at night. As Sumayyah learns to care for it with her grandmother's old brass watering can, she begins to notice blessings she never saw before. By the end, Sumayyah discovers that gratitude isn't about having more — it's about opening your eyes to what's already blooming right in front of you.
