About This Story

Tonight's story is called The Moon That Sent a Goodnight Kiss. Amina is five years old, and tonight her Baba is far away across the sea, so there is no one to tuck her in and say goodnight the way he always does. When she looks out at the moon shining over Dreamlight Bay, her mother tells her something wonderful — that the very same moon Amina sees is the one Baba can see too, no matter how far away he is. Together, they discover that a goodnight kiss doesn't need to travel by road or by sea; it can travel on moonlight, carried gently by love and by du'a. By the end, Amina learns that the people we love are never really far away, because our hearts — and our prayers — can reach them anywhere under Allah's sky.
